What is Slyce Payments?
Slyce is a flexible payment solution that allows you to split your car payment into two and provides a short-term advance to help you stay on track, avoid late fees, and build credit.
How does Slyce work?
It’s simple!
- Pay part of your car loan upfront.
- Slyce covers the remaining balance with a short-term advance.
- You repay within the month—interest-free.
- Your car loan stays on track, and your credit improves!
When can I sign up for Slyce?
If you successfully sign up by 7 business days before the due date of your car payment and BEFORE 5pm EST on that day, there may still be enough time to process your payment for that month. If you enroll with Slyce only 6 business days before the car payment due date, we will set you up for car payment in the following month
How does Slyce pay my car payment?
After enrolling with Slyce, we automatically make your car payment directly to your Car Lender when due each month. Slyce pays your car payment between 1 day prior to the due date of your car payment through 5 days after the car payment due date. Funds must be available by 1pm EST 4 business days prior to the car payment due date in order for a successful car payment coverage. We will attempt to process your 1st payment up to three times until it is successful or until the car payment cut-off at 4pm ET 4 business days prior to the car payment due date. Once three attempts have been made, Slyce will no longer automatically retry your payment and you are responsible in making your car payment.
How much is the Slyce membership fee?
Slyce charges a standard monthly membership fee of $14.99. Slyce also charges a payment bill payment of 1% of the monthly car payment
How does the repayment schedule work again?
Each month, you pay two payments – half (your “initial payment”) when your car payment is due and half on 15th day after your car payment due date or your rescheduled date within the month. You can manage your 2nd payment through the Slyce website.
For example, if your car payment payment is $1,000 each month:
- Slyce will collect your initial payment of half of your car payment ($500) on the due date, no later than the 5th calendar day prior to the your car payment due date- Slyce will pay the full car payment payment amount ($1,000) on the due date.
- Slyce will collect your 2nd payment ($500) on the 15th day after your car payment due date, or your rescheduled date within the month.
- Slyce will collect your membership fee and bill payment fee 5 business days after the car payment due date each month.
In addition, after you make your first payment your 2nd payment becomes Flexible! You can move your 2nd payment to a day that works better for you!
Help, I missed a payment! Can I still use Slyce?
Yes. You can continue to use Slyce as long as you reschedule all missed payments and have no outstanding balance. You can reschedule your 2nd payment of each month on the Slyce website or send a reschedule request to the Slyce team at support@slycepayments.com. YOU MUST PAY YOUR TOTAL DUE IN FULL 9 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO THE NEXT CAR PAYMENT DUE DATE OR YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO ACCESS THE SLYCE ADVANCE TO PAY YOUR CAR PAYMENT IN THE FOLLOWING MONTH.
How do I qualify to use Slyce?
Slyce evaluates your eligibility using a variety of factors including your credit report information, your banking information, and other information about your payment history. Generally, customers who are fair or better credit, with sufficient deposits and average bank balances will qualify for Slyce.
What is fair credit?
While each individual’s credit situation is unique, customers with fair or better credit generally:
May have missed some payments in the past but are currently on time with their accounts
Maintain low to moderate credit usage overall, though 1–2 accounts may show higher usage
Have three or more open accounts
Have no recent defaults or bankruptcy filings
I wasn’t approved for Slyce, now what?
We evaluate your eligibility using a variety of factors including your credit report information, your banking information, and other information about your payment history. Most customers with fair or better credit will qualify for Slyce. If you failed to qualify we’ll send you a letter detailing exactly why. You can reapply in 60 days.
How does Slyce work?
After enrolling with Slyce, we automatically make your car payment directly to your Car Lender when it’s due each month.
Each month, you pay us back in two payments – half (your “initial payment”) when your car payment is due and half on 10 business days after your car payment due date or your rescheduled date within the month. You can manage your 2nd payment through the Slyce website. You can manage your 2nd payment by login in to your account.
There are no interest rates fees when you use Slyce! The Slyce Services are offered for a monthly membership fee of $14.99, which includes access to a Slyce Advance account at 0% APR. Slyce also charges a bill payment fee of 1% of the entire car payment amount.
How does the Slyce Services monthly membership fee work?
Slyce charges a monthly membership fee as a subscription service. That means you will be charged the monthly membership fee each month for your ability to access Slyce Services. The monthly membership fee does not vary based on whether you use the Slyce Services. The Slyce Services auto-renews each month unless you cancel your membership no fewer than 5 business days prior to the end of the preceding month.
Questions about my Slyce Advance
Slyce is a monthly subscription service that simplifies car payment payments by splitting them into two parts. Every month, Slyce helps with paying your full car payment directly to your Car Lender when it’s due. You pay a portion of the total car payment upfront on the car payment due date, and the remaining balance is financed through a an Slyce advance.
The amount of your Slyce advance is determined based on factors like your Slyce repayment history (only applicable to current payment users), your credit report information, and your credit score.

Have you paid your Slyce account on time?
Have you ever been delinquent or had a payment returned for insufficient funds?
2. Credit Report Information and Credit Score
Payment history: Do you pay your bills (including credit cards) on time? Have you ever filed for bankruptcy or had a debt sent to collections?
Current accounts: How many open accounts do you have? What types of loans are included?
Account history: How long have you held your current accounts? Have you applied for new credit recently?
Credit utilization ratio: How much of your available credit are you using? What is your debt-to-income ratio?
We conduct a one-time soft credit check when you set up your Slyce account. The soft credit check does not impact your credit. We perform ongoing monitoring of your credit profile and Slyce payment history to determine continued membership eligibility.
What can I expect when my car payment is due?
Slyce pays your car payment between 1 day prior to the due date of your car payment through 5 days after the car payment due date. Funds must be available by 1pm EST 4 business days prior to the car payment due date in order for a successful car payment coverage.
During this window, we check whether your linked account has available funds for your initial payment. Slyce will process your initial payment. Because our car payment pay process is automated, you do not need to make any manual payments.
I have a past due car payment on my portal, will Slyce still cover my upcoming car payment?
Slyce is not notified by your Car Lender that you have an overdue balance from the previous month(s). Slyce will cover your car payment in the new month if you have an overdue balance from the previous month(s). You are responsible for making all payments for overdue balances from the previous month(s). Slyce will not be responsible for any fees and penalties assessed by your Car Lender for overdue balances from previous months.
Does signing up for Slyce affect my credit?
No. Signing up for a Slyce account won’t affect your credit. Slyce performs a soft credit inquiry with Equifax during the application process to ensure that you are eligible to use Slyce. Soft inquiries won’t show up on credit bureau reports requested to evaluate your credit-worthiness.
Does Slyce report my payment data to credit reporting agencies?
Yes. Slyce reports your payment behavior on your Slyce account to Equifax.
How long will it take for my Slyce payments to be reported on my credit?
When using Slyce, we report your payment history to Equifax. It may take between 30-60 days for your Slyce payment data to appear on your Equifax credit report. The timing depends on when payments were made, and when you first used Slyce to pay your car payment.
How can using Slyce build my credit history?
When you use the Slyce Advance and make on-time payments, we report a history of positive payments to Equifax. If you do not make on-time payments, it may negatively affect your credit.
Does Slyce report my credit history to my property?
No. We do not report your credit history to your Car Lender.
Will late or missed payments be reported to the credit bureau?
Yes. Slyce reports your payment history to Equifax and late or missed payments may have an adverse impact on your credit score.
Does Slyce have a customer support number?
We don’t have a direct customer support number. Why? Because we hate putting you on hold, and reaching out to us support@slycepayments.com is a far faster way to get your issues solved and your questions answered.
What are the Slyce support hours of operation?
The Slyce team provides email support Monday through Friday during the hours of 9-7 PM EST.
We generally respond to all inbound requests within 24 hours.
What does it mean when Slyce says it’s "Not Paid"?
Your car payment bill was not paid directly to your Car Lender by Slyce this month.
What does “scheduled” mean?
An upcoming car payment is scheduled that Slyce will pay directly to your Car Lender on a pre-selected date, unless there is a technical issue
What is the last day Slyce can pay my car payment?
Slyce pays your car payment between 1 day prior to the due date of your car payment through 5 days after the car payment due date. Funds must be available by 1pm EST 4 business days prior to the car payment due date in order for a successful car payment coverage.
During this window, we check whether your account has available funds for your initial payment. Funds must be available by 1pm EST on the 4 business days prior to car payment date n order for a successful car payment coverage.
Once Slyce has verified available funds for your initial payment Slyce will process your initial payment. This process is automated and requires you to make no manual payments.
If we are unable to authorize your initial payment by the 4 business days prior to the car payment date month by 1pm EST, you will be unable to access Slyce to pay your car payment in that month.
How will I know there is an issue?
We will notify you if we see an issue requiring action via your email account and SMS. You can also check the app to see if any issues have been raised that require action.
Why was my initial payment unable to be completed?
In order to pay your car payment, we require an initial payment as indicated during sign-up and in your dashboard. If we attempt to process your initial payment, and you do not have sufficient funds, we will notify you via email or SMS. Another reason Slyce may be unable to process your initial payment may be that your payment method is no longer valid.
What do I need to do?
There are a couple of things you can do:
1. You can update your payment method. This generally will solve issues where the previous payment method was invalid.
2. You can wait for Slyce to retry your payment. We generally will try payment two times daily until 4 business days prior to your car payment date. We recommended ensuring you have sufficient funds to pay half your car payment plus the payment processing fee as soon as you’re notified.
I was told that my car payment payment is not going through. Why?
This generally occurs if your account details are incorrect or there is some sort of technical issue with payments. We’ll continue to try to pay your car payment directly to your Car Lender but we may not be successful if this issue persists.
Slyce will continue to retry payment 4 business days prior to your car payment due date, we should be able to get your car payment paid.
What happens if my car payment doesn't get paid on time and my property charges me a late fee?
When paying with Slyce, the vast majority of late fees are caused when a customer’s linked account lacks sufficient funds for Slyce to authorize their first payment before the Car Lender begins charging a late fee. These late fees can be avoided by ensuring you have enough money in your linked account for Slyce to authorize the first payment as soon as car payment is due.
However, if there is ever a delay in car payment being paid due to an issue on Slyce’s end, we will reimburse you. Fortunately, this is rare, and it is largely due to technical challenges arising from integrating with dozens of different car payment systems.
If you think an error was made, simply submit a request to contact our support team. Our team of experts will review your situation and we will reimburse late fees incurred because of a Slyce-caused delay in your car payment being paid on-time.
How do I resume my Slyce membership for the upcoming month?
To resume your Slyce membership, simply submit a request directly in your Slyce website by 5pm EST 7 business days before your car payment date.
To submit the resume request, open the Slyce website and the login into the dashboard. You will be notified immediately of the request outcome, which will inform you as to if Slyce was able to resume your membership or not.
Please keep in mind that any requests that are submitted after the monthly cut off of 5pm EST 7 business days before your car payment date, will resume your membership for the following car payment cycle if approved.
How do I request to pause my account?
Open the Slyce website, log in, and go to your dashboard. From there, the app will confirm your paused account status.
Please note that all pause requests must be received at least 7 business days before the end of the month to ensure that a new car payment is not processed.
What happens to my account during the paused state?
Slyce will not pay your car payment bill directly to your Car Lender or charge you a membership fee for a new car payment. However, if you have any outstanding payments to Slyce, those will continue to be collected and you will also be charged a monthly membership fee each month that carries a balance.
For example, if Slyce paid your January car payment, but you carried the balance over to February, you would be charged a membership fee for both January and February regardless of if your account was paused or not.
How do I request to resume my account?
Please note that any resume requests must be submitted by 5PM EST at least 7 business days prior to your next car payment date.
What happens if I cancel my account?
You will no longer have access to your Slyce Advance and we will not pay your car payment bill directly to your Car Lender. If you want to use Slyce again in the future, you must re-apply.
How do I resume my Slyce membership for the upcoming month?

Can I reschedule my 2nd payment?
Yes! Open the Slyce website, log in, and go to your dashboard. From there, follow the prompts and select the date that works for you. You can reschedule to any business day up to the last 9 business days before your next car payment due date.
Please keep in mind that this change will only change the upcoming payment and next month’s payment will revert back to the default date.
How many times can I reschedule a payment?
Having a month that needs extra flexibility? We’ve got you.
You can reschedule your second payment within 30 days from the car payment due date. Please keep in mind, though, that: (1) payments need to be rescheduled at least 1 business day in advance; and (2) you must have a zero balance at the end of 30 days from your car payment due date to remain eligible for Slyce services in future months.
Can I reschedule my 2nd payment for the month to a future month?
No. YOU MUST PAY YOUR TOTAL DUE IN 30 DAYS FROM YOUR CAR PAYMENT DUE DATE OR YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO ACCESS THE SLYCE ADVANCE TO PAY YOUR CAR PAYMENT IN THE FOLLOWING MONTH.
Help, I missed a payment! Can I still use Slyce to pay my car payment?
Yes. You can continue to use Slyce as long as you reschedule all missed payments and have no outstanding balance within 30 days of your car payment date. You can reschedule your second payment on the Slyce app or send a reschedule request to the Slyce team
NOTE: You must pay your total due in full WITHIN 30 days after your car loan payment due date, or you will be unable to access the Slyce Advance to pay your car payment the following month. Slyce reports your payment history to TransUnion and late or missed payments may have an adverse impact on your credit score.
Does Slyce charge late fees or penalties for missed payments?
There are no interest rates or late fees when you use Slyce! Slyce charges a standard monthly membership fee of $14.99. Slyce also charges a bill payment fee of 1% of your total car payment.
If I’m on a payment plan do I still get charged the membership fee each month?
Yes, you will be charged the Slyce monthly membership fee until your balance is paid and you pause or cancel your Slyce account.
Slyce didn’t pay my car payment this month, will I still be charged the membership fee?
If your account was paused or if it was active but Slyce was unable to pay your car payment due to an issue unrelated to Slyce, you will be charged a membership fee for that month.
However, if Slyce couldn’t pay your car payment due to a Slyce-related issue, or if your account is suspended or canceled, you should receive a credit for the same amount as your fee. If the membership fee hasn’t been automatically reversed in such a case, you can request a credit by contacting support@slycepayments.com .
Please note that you may not qualify for a refund if Slyce couldn’t pay your car payment because:
You couldn’t make the 1st payment for the month due to an invalid payment method or insufficient funds.
You owe money to Slyce from a previous month.
You didn’t resolve a service issue
When is the Slyce monthly membership fee charged?
Slyce charges the standard monthly membership fee of $14.99 on 5 business days after your car payment due date.
What if I don't have funds for my 1st payment?
Our technology requires that you have the funds for your first payment before we can pay your car payment on the due date. As long as you add those funds by 1pm EST 4 business days prior to the car payment due date in order for a successful car payment, we can still pay your car payment. Unfortunately, Slyce won’t be able to pay your car payment for any month where you don’t have the first payment funds available by 1pm EST 4 business days prior to the car payment due date.
If this is the case, your account will be automatically paused and you still be will charged a membership fee until you cancel you account.
